All smiles and ready for cuddles!

The smartest girl you'll ever meet.

A special girl for a special home.
Welcome to Cougar Pets! We are a local animal rescue group housed on the Central Carolina Community College campus. As part of the Veterinary Medical Technology program, our animals help teach veterinary technician students essential skills that will help future animals.

Please note that since we are regulated by the USDA, we are unable to accept owner surrenders or strays from the general public. We are required to obtain our animals from a shelter.
All of our animals are rescued from shelters, and all are adoptable. In addition, they are up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered, and micro-chipped. Click on the cat or dog below to get started!

Cougar Pet Spotlight
Come, Sit, Stay!
My name is Frappuccino, but my friends call me Frapp. I have been part of the Cougar Pets family for 2 years. I am a very smart girl that would love to play outside with you and show you my toys.

Do you see a pet you like, but want to meet them first? Make an appointment with our staff and we will set up a Meet and Greet session!

Meet and Greet sessions are by appointment only.
Hi! My name is Frankie. I have been part of the Cougar Pets family for 2 years and I would like to find my forever home. I am very sweet and enjoy watching tv with my humans. I have FIV, so a home where I am the only cat (and the center of attention) would be best.

NOTE: As a USDA regulated facility, we are closed to the general public and non-colony animals. Meet and Greet sessions are by appointment only! While we love all animals, we request that only people attend Meet and Greet sessions.
